I thought I'd drop in since I haven't updated in a little while. I made some progress on the interior. Cheap seat covers, found a good set of door panels at pick-a-part so I painted them without so much orange and I think it looks a lot better. Just have the headliner, carpet, and seat belts left.
I had some traction bars but they weren't long enough so I made some extensions and installed them.
I bought a set of C4 Corvette wheels with drag radials for the tires and had them mounted on the stock wheels from the Silveraydo with some small tires up front for the strip.
Also got my tune tweaked a little so I'm hoping for 13's when the track finally opens. It's been rained out the last 2 weekends and supposed to rain this weekend too.
I should be doing some more work on it in the next month or two so hopefully I'll have more updates soon.

Got lucky and the rain held off long enough for the track to open on Saturday. I made several passes, testing different launch methods, etc and made a best pass of 13.94 at 99.44 mph. I'm ordering HP Tuners this week and I can't wait to get the tune dialed in and see how quick I can go.

Got HPtuners and an AEM wideband delivered on Monday. Found a tbss intake for sale on marketplace that came with the throttle body, fuel rail, evap solenoid, and a beautiful engine cover for 200 bucks. Ended up coming home with 2 tbss intakes, the second one is still attached to the tbss.(It's already got it's own thread.)
It's too beautiful for me to paint over so I'm gonna sell it.
I have a throttle body adapter, C5 fuel filter, and some fuel fittings on the way and they should be here in time to get everything put on before the next trip to the drag strip.

Got the intake with new 50lb injectors swapped and running(Thanks to RedXray for the injector info), tried my hand at tuning, and seemed to be going good until I took it to the track and it wasn't any faster than it was before. Best time I ran was a 14.0. On the drive home I was about 2 miles from the house and as I was making a right turn, my left front wheel decided to take a different path than the rest of the truck. I had 5 lug nuts strip out and the sixth one broke.
I thought getting a jack under this thing was hard with all 4 wheels on it, it's really a task with the rotor sitting on the ground. The fender pushed back a little causing the door not to open but with some careful prying with my interior panel tools, I was able to get the door open without screwing the door up. Then used an old trick I learned from from a body guy years ago and folded up a magazine, stuck it in the gap, swung the door back and forth, heard a big pop and the fender was back in position. Still a little damage at the bottom of the fender opening but as low as the truck is, you can't really notice it. I had some pics but my phone died and I had to get a new one.

Get some torque sticks, I'm a habitual offender of giving everything a couple dugga duggas with my big daddy Milwaukee impact. These make it so you still get to give stuff dugga duggas but it's generally a specific torque value instead of all the umpf.

Yeah, I've thought about getting some sticks but I usually just do them by hand but my torque wrench had broken the day before.
I found a billet grille on marketplace for 40 bucks so I slapped some black paint on it and finally found a spot for my old school logo. I've gotta take the one out of the bumper and paint it now.
