99 nbs z71 ecsb build - lots of advice needed
#1
So since I have a lot of things that need to be modified on my truck I figure I should post it here. Lets start with whats already done:
-obs 2500 keys up front, rear lift lift blocks removed.
-blackbear 89 octane tune, LS1 efans, blackbear harness.
-stock 5.3 with a CAI, stock 4L80e with vette servo both 120k
-two MA audio 10's with hifonics amp and kicker components
-JBA stainless catback with a stainless y-pipe
-titan 18's with 265 falkens
-tahoe and ss calipers with slotted and driller rotors
Now here is where i need advice:
- my truck handles and drives terribly, ive got a loud clunk from the front end that happens when i hit even the smallest bump. ive read alot on here and i think its my tie rods or possibly my idler arm i think. i might just rebuild most of the front suspension cause its driving my nuts.
-my truck leans to the drivers side in the rear because the left side leaf spring is pretty much flat. was wondering about doing and air suspension in the rear but dont know if that will be worth it on a daily driver.
-most likely going to do an engine swap, just waiting for this motor to give me a reason to.
- was thinking about converting from 4 to 2wd. if i buy all the 2wd components could i just swap over all those to my front end? or is it way more complex than that?
Ill add more as i go and ill post pictures of the heap this weekend, so you guys will have an idea of what im workin with. and keep in mind this is going to be my daily street driver racer.
