Default 97 chevy ecsb sas, getting ready for teardown #2

Well i'm sitting at 100 am and can't sleep so i figured why not post up the current status of my never ending obs build.
It started 5 year's ago as my first full size. Stuffed tire's, flowmaster exhaust, and some sticker's were the first so called "mod's" i did.

After about 2 year's i decided i wanted a bigger lift, 37's some cosmetic upgrades.

I was pretty happy with this setup for a couple year's then woke up and decided i wanted to go an entirely different route.
Swapped ifs for a 79 hp44 and rear 10 bolt for a 14ff with disc conversion.

As of right now this is a list of thing's that will be addressed.
4.88 gear's front and rear
repaint entire truck, get rid of fugly hook's in bed and fix rear bumper and colormatch mirror's and handle's.
Remove toolbox for one that sit's in the bed and is hidden.
remove body lift, or put smaller such as 1" on.
Sell current wheel's and tire's for 20x12 or 22x12 and 37x13.50 tire's to get a wider stance.
4l80e swap
rebuild l31 with turbo setup or swap to lq9 or lq4 with some type of forced induction. Hoping i can get some input on this. The goal is to make the daily driver friendly even though it won't be driven all the time, and able to run at Silver Lake sand dune's.
I'd like to shoot for a reliable 450 wheel hp if that's possible idk but assume it is.

I was traveling for work when i did the swap so it took awhile. But i figured the dedicated time i spent on it for the front and rear axle both was about 2 week's roughly.

Nice looking truck man, now you just need some power under the hood to turn those tires.

^ That's why i'm here man. Looking for some input from you all. I was thinking keep l31 and build it with a marine intake etc, but i'm thinking i'd happier with a lq4 or lq9 with a turbo setup.

LS Power is definitely the way to go IMO...

I did it and will never turn back now. So far it is WAY more reliable and efficient. I am making your target power range with a 5.3 and a magnacharger. For what it's worth, I would suggest a blower for your setup rather than the turbo only because of where in the powerband you will get your increases. Both make excelent power, but for a 4WD and being lifted with more rotating mass in wheels and tires, I think that's the better of the 2.
