Got the interior in, steering column is back together, only had a few issues with the harness to get everything working but all is good now.

Gotta figure out the radio, had an aftermarket adapter in it, that was all hacked up so i put it back to stock and just have to get everything figured out.

More to come next weekend.

I dig the old ride with a big-block and while in my heart I know the 80’s model trucks with the more squared off fenders and especially the dash looks better than the older models, I still want a old primer black SBSS like Chuck Norris drove in that old cheesy movie Invasion U.S.A. Of course in the movie that poor truck sounded awfully ragged, my version would have to have a modern LS type motor with a Turbo 400 and 205 case with 1 ton axles. I had a 1980 SBFS that someone had put on 1 ton axles with full time hubs and I had an old 396 that I replaced the tired old 350 with and while it ran OK for the day, I know it was a complete turd compared to what is easily accomplished now.

Keep the pictures coming, like I said I dig ‘em.

Here is the exhaust, i put together a y pipe out of some of the factory exhausts from the original 350, and the 85 silverado the bbc came from, then just used a homemade cutout i put together as the y itself, then modified the crap out of the stock D-max exhasut and WALLA nice exhaust.

Still need to set the timing and it needs some plugs and wires but here is what it sounds like, no actual visual it was dark out.

We are putting mounts for a seat from a 87 burn on the flat bed so it might be a wagon, what dont you like about the y pipe, its a y pipe, it clears everything, sure we had to make the shitty cutout i made 2 years ago work but its 100 % removable as a unit, and it doesnt leak.
