Default 71 c10 lwb turbo 5.3

decided to start thread here. plans were to drop in 6.0/4l80e. then ran across a 5.3 with harness/acc/ecm only thing missing was started got it for $300 and was able to sell the old 350 for $300 so worked out good. also original plans was to static drop but now its getting bagged but will not lay frame or anything just still want to use it as a truck and get it down a bit

got lucky and the gut removed frame mounts with engine so saved me few dollars on adaptors

picked up new fuel tank for same year blazer to mount under bed to get the orinal tank out the cab got good deal on it off craigslist

ordered all new front suspention parts few days ago hope to get a arms primed tomorrow and install them along with priming rear end and trailing arms with new bushing so i can have rolling chassis again

I bought a 72 shortbox years ago. I have always planned a 4.8/5.3 with atleast 1 turbo. This looks like it will be a fun project. Can't wait to see it finished.

nice project i just got rid of my 84 c10 lwb bout a yr. ago o how i miss it but it was time for something new. i wanted to do a 5.3 but never got around to it.

Looks great man, i had a 69 mint cond. general lee orange and sold it as a roller for 600$!! still makes me sick to this day, but when u need money u have no choice!

Keep us posted on your progress, I had a 71 just like yours for about 20 years. I sure do miss it now seeing guys stick the LS engines in them. Good luck on it.

hey man, id love to come check this out. i was about to ask about boxing the frame in by the notch, but you took care of that like a pro

im always riding around, and willing to lend a hand.

Cool project man. I had a 68 and a 72, loved them just didn't haul the family well when we grew to 5. Keep up the good work.

got rear end and front a arms primed. also got front bag plated cut out need to finish drilling holes to mount them them prime them. was able to get rear end back mounted for last time
