Ill know them by Thursday night. But honestly they wont mean mean much, he said the tires are gonna kill 50 hp and the 2nd gear pulls are gonna kill 50 hp. The motor will be making more than 500 at the crank for sure though

So I got an email today from Don saying the truck is done, kind of. Apparently the boost starts at 7 and goes down to 4 on the upper end. Its also in open loop right now because in closed loop it leans out with boost is what he said.

I dropped this on him 2 weeks before I needed it and he was booked last week so he only had 4 days this week and I guess this is all he feels he can do this week. So Ill actually schedule a new time with him so the kinks can get worked out. So Im goin down tomorrow to pick it up

He said something about it loading up in open loop because of the placement of the O2s which kyle obviously has no problems with. Its Slowhawk Performance the only and best LS shop in New England so I trust him, he done many builds and has a nasty 4th gen turbo T/A drag car

So the trucks home now but has issues. Driving it home at first i didnt try anything, on the highway I was supried at how easy it spooled, like 1/4 and poof 7 lbs of boost. I got off the highway and started rolling into it more and more. I came to nice straight peice of road and let her have it. It up shifted made boost instantly and the A/F only dropped to 13.5 and I let off obviously. He told me he tuned it to like 10.8-11.5 at wot. Now just driving normal and idling it goes between 15.5-16. I dont know what happened, he was having issues with the tuning and messed with it again today and got it to where he wanted it so I dont know. I cant really blame him because he really had no time to test it in the long run. So thats where its at now. I present it at school on friday and it actually idles now so thats good. I dont need to demonstrate or anything really

So thats where I am with the truck

As for the boost issue he said it could be too much back pressure which only leaves the 3" downpipe to blame because I have a diamond eye duramax cat back system

He also said I could if I wanted to put a bigger spring in the wastegate and itd be ok but I need to get the tuning sorted out first obviously

Get EFI live or HP tuners and tune it yourself. You're on the verge of blowing the motor there.

Yeah I figured. But hes right that tunes dont change something else had to have changed. He had it dialed in on the dyno.

Oh and it put down 360 hp and 390 tq in second with the boost issue

I have rarely seen a vehicle behave on the street the same way it behaves on a dyno, especially a turbo vehicle.
