So an issue I've been ignoring for awhile has finally annoyed me enough to reach out for help. On startup (whether cold or hot) the truck goes super lean for 30secounds or so and is jerky and difficult to drive smoothly. Just now when I took off for lunch It was idling at 19afr.
I've googled and searched on the HPT forum a lot and don't seem to see anything specific to this issue. The truck has been running speed density and closed-loop since I did the bigger cam but I have not logged anything in the last few months. This problem has been occurring since the bigger cam I think.
Here is a log from tonight and the current tune file. Notice on startup the idle afr is well into 18 at some points then at the end it's right around 14.7.
Still have some weird tune gremlins that show up in the first 30seconds after startup but the truck runs great so who gives a fuh.
Picked up a used 2020 Tahoe 4 piston caliper to try out the newfound OEM big brake upgrade that's been floating around. I didn't doubt it would mount up but wasn't sure the NNBS LTZ20s would clear which they don't, at least not without grinding the front face hump down or adding a 1/4" spacer. They are a big old caliper tho and at under $400 you can have a full setup with 13.5" rotors 4 piston calipers and the pad of your choice I think its a pretty good deal for anyone looking to upgrade.
I also tested some other wheels I had laying around and amazingly some 17" wheels will fit. NBS Denali 17"s had a contact point with the inner wheel barrel but my Method Roost 17"s fit with an 1/8" or so of barrel clearance.
dang... i thunk you'd died or something.
but sweet test fit! i'd contemplated trying a set on the GMC last year but wasn't ready to get rid of my 16" wheels.

Not dead just been enjoying other hobbies and the new cabin.
I kinda have no reason to do the swap other than cool boi points because the current Powerstop setup works fine and has plenty of life left but, I got a good deal on a set of calipers yesterday though so they will be coming in next week and I'll start looking for the other bits while they get powdered. I really want to find a bigger option for the rear that's affordable, the calipers and rotors look dinky.
Have you heard from Penny lately? My RC is still in pieces I just have no motivation right now it needs so much.
Whats the word on those 243s? They finished and shipped yet?
No, and no. The word is they have them lol. Not a rush anyway, I have a buddy that wants them for an ls swapped 240 project but Idk if I want to sell them.
