I have a 2000 silverado with the 5.3l engine and i was wondering if i could drop inn a 2005 lq9 and still be able to use my ecm or computer from my silverado? or what do i need for the swap? i know this has been discussed but i would appreciated if some one can help me...

 

Just use the long block from the LQ9. Use your DBC throttle body, and existing PCM. Have the 5.3 PCM tuned for the 6.0. Easy as that.

The Drive By Cable throttle body your 2000 has now. Just use the LQ9 longblock and transfer all of your accessories over to it.

im planinig to put a cam package from tsp. but idk which one to chose the single spring or dual and from 224 or 228. little suggestions needed please.
