5.3 to 6.0 LQ9 Swap
Need some help on what's needed to complete the swap on my 2002 Silverado 1500 z71
Truck currently has a SAS on 40's so it needs more guts, so I'm swapping engines...
I want to keep it stock aside from the 5.3 headers I have now and the air raid intake tube. This isn't necessarily a "budget" build although I wany the reliabillity and longevity.
Maybe a mild cam that sounds good with low end... any recommendations? I want a kit that comes with new springs etc. All tuning will be done at my school with efi live. And a pcm tune from BBP.
What parts are needed to bolt up to my tranny? It's a built monster transmission.
And last question for now, is jasper a good crate engine? Or should I go junkyard and replace/inspect all the sensors, harness, accessories, etc?

It's a direct swap. Everything moves over and bolts up.
As for a cam, it's really up to you. If you want low end guts, stay under a 218 duration on the intake and exhaust.
As for the engine, Blueprint Engines has a high performance line.
I had an lq9 from them. It was rated at 460go/470tq and felt every bit of it. It never gave me an issue.
