Everything is ready to roll, got called out to a job so I'm out of the country for the next month or so.

Started putting the shift rails and everything back together and managed to get the mainshaft and countershaft shimmed. For anybody who cares, the stock stick out of a 4L60E 4x4 output shaft is .187 - the splined portion is flush with the adapter housing.

The SSR shaft has more unsplined area on it than the 27 spline stocker or the 4L60E but I don't think it will make much difference. If you are super **** I don't see why you couldn't throw the SSR shaft on the lathe and remove the excess

I don't think there is much of a market for this and I'm busy with my real job

Got some new pictures to put up, but I thought I would update with some new found information I had....

The inner seal for the vette housing works perfect with the SSR mainshaft. The vette/gto/SSR mainshaft is the same diameter in the area where the inner seal resides. The outer seal is a different story, since they neck the shaft down on the lower spline count stuff. I installed a speedi-sleeve on the SSR shaft and have a new seal that will go on there. Couldn't match up the stock diameter to the bore size I needed and since my adapter is already cut for the stock size, the ID of my steel adapter needs to be machined .045 to clear.

Also ordered the beef 32 spline input for my NVG 149 so im all set on that.

This is a really cool project, please continue to update. After you finish do you think you could put together a kind how-to guide with a list of parts and things to look for?
