they also make a fake distributer i looked into, but its literally just a pass thru and you have to hide the coils somewhere else.
Ah yeah if one of them hides it already then don't move the coils.

Fake distributor would be gay please don't do that I WILL call you a poser

C'mon man...in all fairness they didn't have an OD in 1990 that would have lived through the warranty on a single unit. If you wanted OD you already know you gotta buy a 1991-1993 SS for that sweet 4L80E goodness.

Truck looks great already; looking forward to updates on your build. Never mind the haters, the "oh another LS swap" crowd, etc. it's your truck..

yeah ur right, but just seems like an awful idea with no o/d, but things were different back then and im use to having o/d in everything. I really wanted a red 93ss but they are hard to find, this one had the body work done already and when i bought it 2yrs ago i could tell prices were going up so i settled for this one.

Awesome build so far! What do you think about the rear suspension kit you used? Why not go with the QA1 to match the front? I have a 95 and am considering going to coil overs after I finish the latest engine swap.

the short answer is qa1 rear kit only fits a 10bolt rear because the torque arm cover bolts to the diff and when i emailed them they said they had no intention of making 14bolt version for 454ss trucks.
kit i got is pretty good, a few things i didnt like about it, ridetech makes stuff also but i didnt quite like their rear design and was over all more expensive.
if i had a 10 bolt truck i would of def got the qa1 kit, its overall a better design i think and price is right.
stangkillr on youtube built an awesome truck and used the rear qa1 and shows it in detail pretty good.

Thats right. I forgot about the whole 14 bolt part. Regardless, the truck is coming out awesome!
Stangkillers build is crazy nice. He threw $75k out as an estimate of money into that truck. Little more than I can/want to spend.
