Here is a little up-date.
I called the machine shop yesterday to check on the progress. Turns out a past employee really liked his torque plates. He has ordered new ones and that is what we are waiting on. Shouldn't be more than a couple more days though.. I'm not in a big rush seams how the pistons are not going to be ready until later this month..

I'm jealous of all u guys doing 370 builds now...lots more options and tried/tested setups to pick from! What pistons are u going with? Now that the new Vette motor is coming out note their piston design - its ideal in that they've managed to get the wrist pins out of the rings, which is someting I cudn't manage to do with my stroke and setup. I've become a huge beliver in both that and what will end up being a longer skirt...Good luck! Its good that ur being patient, I'm sure ull need it

make sure your machine shop has the capability to line hone.
See if they have a torque plate to bore your block as well.

They are VERY WELL equipt, they built pro stock engines..
He (the owner) had the torque plates, but like I said, they were stollen. They have the ability to line hone as well. And will be checking mine block before any other work will be done...

Running TTY Bolts is a waste when you are building a motor. I know you think that the TTY will do the job, but in order to build your motor at a machine shop, you will need more than one set of each the heads and the mains. You will need a set for the mains for each time you put the caps on and off, which is about 2-3 times. Then you need about 1-2 sets for when you bore, then hone with TQ plate, ect. So when you are done, you have spent more than ARP stuff and are still not as strong. Hope this helps.

Congrats Dusty, it's been a long time coming! What cam were you thinking about going with? In my 408 I have a 220/222-580/580-114 that I am very happy with. It's a baby cam for the cubes I'm running, but the turbo likes it a lot

If you go to 408 (not real clear if you are or aren't) the 67 will be waaay too small. Even the GT70 I ran was too small at 14psi @ sea level.

If you are dedicated to sticking with the 67 (great turbo imo) stay at the 370 limit. That will be an awesome combination.

BTW, if you want 20psi, I'd recommend ARP studs (mains and head) and rod bolts. I'd do the "J" head studs and overtorque 15 ft/lbs (in fact I did lol)
