Default 2001 Silverado - Project 3rd Child

So here's the story. I bought this truck in 2004 all stock except a simple bolt on bag job. It was on 17" Centerlines and was alot of firsts for me (truck, v8, 5spd, air ride etc.)

During the winter of 2005 I had a few friends shave the handles, and notch the frame, repaint etc. I then bought some 20" Boyd's

The next winter (winter of 06) a buddy told me he would body drop it for me and he also painted it.

The following winter I had another friend body drop it to the doors and suicide the doors.

We also did a full sheet metal bed and a grant kustoms full skin etc.

I bought some 24" Boss 330s on 25 series tires. On the way to the first show I broke 2 wheels and trashed one tire. I ended up getting two new rims and 4 new 275/30r24 tires. They just barely fit (rub the hood when layed out and almost touch the top of the bed rail.

After that show (ITB 08 / winter 2008) I tore it apart the day I got home. After all this time of watching my friends work on it I decided I was going to start doing work on it (major work i guess). I ended up building a back half frame and whole new wishbone suspension. I put a fuel cell in since i was building the new frame.

I then decided i wanted to build the motor a little. I put a Comp 220/222 cam, SLP ti valve springs, SLP stainless shorty headers, magnaflow bullet style dual exhaust, Blackbear tune, LS1 intake manifold (for clearance, stock intake wouldnt fit under the hood), electric fans, hydroboost brake booster.

I took it to 2 shows that year on a trailer because i never did get it all the way put back together.

That brings us to the winter of 2009. I tore it back apart to finish up a few things / redo things the way i wanted. I pulled the cab off and built a new firewall to fit my new "bigger" 30 series tires.

I also picked up a 64 Impala dash and built it to fit my truck.

I picked up a bench seat out of a 79 c10 and put it in. I bought a colorado custom full billet steering wheel, 24" B.A.D. Rockstar billet wheels w/ new 275/30r24 tires, new 3 gallon air tanks, 03 sierra grill shell. Here is how it currently sits:

WOW, very nice work and attention to detail. You must really like lowered trucks to go through all that just to gain a few mm of drop. Looks fantastic though!! When did you swap over to the GMC front end? Looks good with the HD hood!

There are things I like, love, and hate but overall VERY nice ride. Every step looks to have insane attention to detail but the is great. Truck has allot of time into it but show every moment as being done well!

awesome truck. have you thought about getting a dakota digital dash or are you going to use aftermarket round gauges? IMO, it would look best if you could make the stock 64 Impala gauges work
