The rear end is done. I por15'd it today. Will be put in tomorrow. Replaced the leaf spring and shackle bushings and replaced the shot shocks. Also laid down some sound deadener(?) and put my carpet and seats in. Hoping to have my c5 compressor and lines in by next weekendl, so I can try and get my exhaust done. Depends on how much the exhaust will cost though.

We have an automotive paint store that carries it. Found out that they have different colors. Almost got grey, lol. Real easy to use. A little bit goes a LONG way.

Got my truck put back together. Waiting on my ac lines to be made and to check if the fuse box I just got in will work, 3rd times the charm!!!!, then I can take it to the exhaust shop.

Looks like a snug fit! Whats in the big black box on the passenger side of the firewall? Im guessing heater core is in there?

I wanna do this swap in my S10 so bad! Any reason you didnt go with a 6.0 or bigger?

Heater box. As for picking a 5.3, it was easy to get. Not looking to break records with it. Just wanted something that was fun. Now if something ever happens to the 5.3...a 6.0 is not out of the question.

I gotcha, thanks for the info! Gonna be looking into doing this more once I get my turbo kit on my 1500.

What all did you have to do to keep the ac? Is it possible to NOT have to notch any part of the frame/crossmembers if you have the right AC compressor bracket? And the H3 pan is what you run to clear the front crossmember right?

Sorry for all the questions!

The only way to not have to notch the frame for ac is to run a top mount conversion kit. Cpw has a kit. And yes to the h3 pan
