I am not a fan of switching to carb but I know phantom did and actualy drop a good amount of time in the 1/4. Typicaly a efi is going to be better for power and driving but a carb is much more simple.

Again I am against carbs on LS but they are suprising at times.

Good luck.
dont knock the carb. typically they will make more power n/a and on the juice but the trade off is worse fuel economy and sometimes drivability. this route is also alot cheaper and easier to tune (from what i hear) efi is definately king when it comes to F/I.

what happened to this thing being an extreme budget build? i'm sure that intake wasnt chep and now you have to buy a msd 6010 ignition system.

i used to have this train of thought. there's a reason alot of pure race cars still run carb. i agree on the drivability of EFI and fuel efficiency.

Full rewire is almost done
Msd 6010 box $280 shipped
Vic Jr $260 shipped
Mallory 110 freebie

Selling all the old parts I've actually turned a pretty good profit

We weighed some of the parts coming off and it totaled to 420 lbs
I still have the speakers, sub, and full doors... For now.

I expect to be around 2200 lbs now
Still waiting to get my cam for about $300
And some valve springs.
I've got a line on a 4-71 blower but I have to rebuild a th350 for it.
