Got a few more things done today. Corvette Servo is in, Aux input is in. Diff fluid looks ok, so I didnt change it. Also ordered some LS1 fans on ebay. Got a really good deal. Thinking of making my own harness though and having it hardwired as opposed to computer triggered because paying $100 for a harness + $35 to have it tuned seems a bit stupid for some electric fans.....

Still need to do a brake flush, and a few other things but its moving right along. I will report back on the Corvette servo to see if its worth it. Still looking for a nice catback.....

Just a little update.

1. I <3 the corvette servo. Makes the truck drive much better in my opinion.
2. My brake fluid was black as hell. Bled all 4 corners and flushed fresh fluid through the whole system. Much better.
3. Getting my parts together to do the Efan swap here in the next few weeks.

I did some searching but can someone short cut it for me, and point me in the direction of a good mild cam. Preferably something that doesnt need a converter or upgraded springs.... a plug and play unit.

Another question. Has anyone run long tube headers directly into the stock cats? Pictures?

 

FYI, I took about my power mirror switch and cleaned all the contacts and got the mirrors to move in one direction. Took it apart again, sanded the contacts for a second or two and cleaned them again, my mirrors work great now. Maybe yours can be fixed the same?

 

I ended up ordering a new switch. Everything worked. Took my old one out, and cleaned it up, and it started working again. Didnt think to open it earlier.

 

Could you please give us a little more info on how you did the aux mod ?

 

Goto radioshack. Buy a 1/8" input plug. Wire left/right/ground to the 9 pin aux input o0n the back of the headunit. Put a dummy tape into the tape player. Done.

As some of you saw my other thread. I am having the ABS/BRAKE light issue. Checked the speed sensors in the front wheels and was kinda surprised. They both showed open, and occasionally they would flash about 200ohms. I am not used to sensors like thsi, I am used to them showing a specific resistance all the time, and it changes when you spin the hub. Thoughts?

More bad news. Pretty much both tie rod boots, and upper and lower control arm bushings are crap. The boots have cracked, and were pushing out grease, I repacked them the best I could, but it will have to be changed at some point. Anyway some pics from today:

 

Got some infinity reference series for the rear. What a bitch to install. Also did some home improvement on the intake. Hopefully this will drop IATs a bit.



extra security measure now that i live in an apartment. They are clearing run off from my covered parking spot so thsi will normally be bolted to a large metal post.

I hate ghetto rigging stuff in the parking lot. I wish i had a house. and all my tools and stuff. Ended up using velcro on all 4 sides.
