2000 GMC Sierra 1500 LTS Mild Build

Oh, bummer. Some of the back lights on mine are going out. I want to take it apart and replace the little bulbs that are soldered on.
The back lights seem to be common. The there are people making a living at replacing them and rebuilding what ever else goes out in them. I would put an aftermarket stereo but I am afraid some one will break in just to steal it... I am not that into music so the stock one works just fine.

Ya its not that hard, its the lack of amplification that is frustrating me,

Did some work on the truck today finally. Here are the links for all the installed components:
Kenwood 6.5" KFC-1664S - These come with the correct pop in plates, and connectors.
Ebay Intake
Headlight set
Mirrors
Vent Visors
Hauled my first load this morning - Nicely modded SV1000 for my new 2 wheeled toy.

Kenwoods popped right in using the provided free hardware

Next I moved to the intake. A few notes. The filter is ******* huge, way to big to really even fit. Second the fitment is blah. Takes a bit of wrenching to get it in right. Sounds great, truck revs a bit quicker. we will see about long term changes, I will probably end up going with a slightly smaller filter later on.

Then came the new headlights - comparison photos:

yes 1 DRL bulb seems to be out
and with new mirrors and junk

Unfortunatly the mirrors still dont work. Now I am suspecting the switch Guess I am going to replace that next.
Corvette Servo and foglights are still on their way.

Next step. My shocks are on their last legs. I dont plan an elevation changes soon, so I would like some OEM plus shocks that will firm up the ride a bit and give slightly better handling..... thoughts?

I used Bilsteins on mine. I have had problems with the Monroe's and KYB's on other vehicles. So far these haven't given me a lick of trouble and they also have a lifetime warranty if you have the original receipt.

When it comes to Monroes or KYBs there are like 5 different kinds.....
