so after a chain of "life events" happening (good events btw) im back on the road to getting this truck on the street.
i have just about everything wrapped up besides rear calipers and a air in the coolant passage problem. ive filled the tank to the cold fill line with distilled water and turned the truck on. i let it heat up to roughly 210 to get the thermostat to open. however i do have 160 thermo. so it opens and i fill water going through the top hose while i squeeze it, but the overflow is just spewing water out as im doing this..im an idiot when it comes to coolant systems and can use all the help i can get..

Leave the truck off. Open the coolant jug. Remove the small hose that goes to the heads near the intake. Fill coolant jug with water/antifreeze until you have water coming out. Reinstall the hose then fill the jug to cold mark. Turn the defrost on high, temp setting to max hot. Let the truck run until it gets the rest of the air out and begins to operate at normal temps.
