Default 1994 Dash/Cluster Swap

Tried to search for any previous posts on updating a 94 dash from a c1500 short bed to a 95-98 dash/cluster I would like to do the door panels as well which I imagine would be the easiest part of the swap but just wanted to get anyone's thoughts who have tried such a project themselves and how labor intense is the process?

I've done this before, but not without changing out the complete wiring harness! Also depending if it's got passenger airbag you have to weld in support brackets for the air bag!

thanks for the advice, I was going to see about installing 95 interior, I don't believe there are any passenger airbags on that year, I have a 4.3 so hopefully not too many issues with changing out the wire harness on that.

Good luck! All wires should be colored coded for different plugs you might come across

I assume that if I was to swap out the door panels that wouldn't be much an issue especially if I was going to use an newer wire harness?

I don't know if harness is the same for 94 / 95! I think the PCM goes from behind the glove box to under the hood! Don't know if driver side main plug is the same! 95 has driver airbag that 94 don't. I've used older cabs on newer trucks & vise reverse uh!
