well, i pulled everything back apart to change the tensioner out...do i really need to make a write up?

pull the pulley, front cover

pull all the bolts to the oil pan to expose the pick-up tube

pull the oil pump and loosen the pickup tube so you can get the tube out of the bottom of the oil pump (change the o-ring imo, it's cheap)

take the tensioner out and replace with your new one

put it all back together...
you'll need a 13mm deep drive socket for the pick up tube nuts, 10mm deep drive with a 6" extension for the cover, the oil pan, and the oil pump. the pick-up tube is a lil weird so take your time taking the bolt out.

my wiring harness, Circle D 3000 have arrived. my fuel pump should be here thursday. i just ordered my custom LTs in black so i can powdercoat them.
i should have the engine installed wed an the harness ready to be installed. im cutting the fuel lines down to get it ready for the SS line an corvette filter.
im putting an on/off switch for the fuel pump power lead...just a lil safety...

well a small update...ran into a snag with the fittings i needed oh well
heads are on
pushrods adjusted
water pump on
valve covers on
set up for a test fit tomorrow
the fittings i needed ordered
got my fuel line
order V band clamps
got harness, fuel pump, an stall home
gonna go pick up some chain in a little bit bc i dont have a lift plate.
imma test fit the motor today.
also i have an LS7 valley cover...there's an oil sender screen that goes in before the sensors? of so its not the same as the LS2 screen that i ordered. or the sensor i have is too long..i guess ill have to wait an see when its time for the wiring harness.

motor is bolted in, factory wiring harness is trimmed down to the few little things needed.
fixed all the crap needed to to be reconnected.
im going to pull the fuel tank tomorrow an put the fuel pump in, an trim down the fuel line.
ill be installing my tranny an wiring harness as soon as the servos get here.
all i need is a few more things (tune mainly)

bare with me...these are the pics i sent my friends when i remembered to take a pic with my phone...im uploading them through my iphone to photobucket so i may get the image links wrong.
fuel pump

fuel pump accessories

fuel pump hotwire kit

Nelson Performance Custom wiring harness

block surface before heads went on, plus the LS7 lifter trays an lifters installed

what it looked like after i put the heads, adjusted the lifters, an put the valve covers on. notice i used my old DOD valley cover just incase i had to lay something on it or bumped the oil pressure boss

just getting it into the truck

under its own weight an bolted in

all the wiring narrowed out...wow

the tapped LS7 valley cover. i used a 3/8 NPT tap a 3/8" to 1/8" brass reducer with liquid teflon from work

just a close up of what i used

close up the wiring sorted out, sensor installed

intake installed

TB installed 90mm FAST dbc

with the intake cover

an i call this the Money Shot

stock fuel pump taken apart for the new G7 Grand National fuel pump to be installed

had to lengthen some wires...so it could reach the plug in and such.
