Default 1989 Mazda B2200 Ls 5.3/Th400

Wanted to start over with a real build thread. Got rid of my old Lt1 Z28 and got a new toy a little while back. 1989 Mazda b2200 currently setup for sbc. Roll cage, Race seats/harness, and fuel cell.

Got the truck home and sat several months and gathered bunch of parts. Now have a Lmg 5.3/317/6.0 cam/DoD and vvt delete and a Th400 to put behind it. Motor setup for boost but just want to get it running and rolling first. Pics and info as I go along.

Night we got along with previous owners sbc setup they ran.

So I was just gonna find a cheap 4.8/Th350 and throw my nitrous kit on it, but things changed since then. Ended up getting a 4th gen Lmg 5.3. Did DoD and vvt delete. Had a 4th gen 6.0 cam lying around which is a hair bigger than the factory cam. Used the old 317s off my 6.0 build and regapped piston rings for boost. Roughly 8.5:1

Buddy is doing an Ls in a Rx7 and decided to go with a different mount kit so I got these

Bought a used E38 ecm online for my project. Turned out it came out of a v6 Impala. Luckily working at a Gm dealership I was able to reflash it with a usable Vin# before I upload HpTuners to it

Engine harness I got free from work. Rat chewed through customers harness and insurance company paid for a new one. I kept and repaired this harness for this project. Bought a 4l80e flex plate to mount to a Th400 stall. Gas pedal/pigtail to splice into my engine harness.

And my box of ricer goodies.

Main thing waiting on before it all starts to come together is a stall converter. No pics of the trans yet. It's at a buddies shop. Thanks for checking it out.

Thanks. Once I get a stall converter I can bolt the motor and trans together and drop it all in the truck. Then I can start on the wiring harness

This gonna be a n/a truck or you gonna turbo it as well, either way it's gonna be fast.

Right now it's a factory Mazda rear end with a welded differential. The drive shaft he gave me was for using a long tail shaft Th350, but I'm running a Th400 anyways so I won't use that shaft and will have to see what I need when the motor goes in
