Default 03 Sonoma 5.3L swap project

Howdy ya'll! Been working on this truck for about 3 months now. Started with an 03 2.2l auto 2wd with ZQ8 sport suspension and an 04 LM7. The 2.2 blew the hell up on me. So why not do a swap?! lol Anywho... here are a few pics through the process. A few minor upgrades in the motor. Stage III Truck Cam from BTR. LS9 springs to match it. LS7 Lifters and trays. Melling push rods. GM muscle car oil pan and all the guts for it. All new Mahle gaskets from top to bottom and front to rear. LS6 timing chain. high flow low pressure oil pump. All new front suspension, control arms, moog v6 xq8 springs, 2" drop spindles on top of ZQ8 drop. Blah blah blah... Im sure Im forgetting things but Ill keep updating from here on out. I am always open to suggestions so feel free to speak up!

Putting together something similar right now. Going to go ahead and subscribe to support a fellow S-series build.

Shaved truck intake. Got the idea from gearhead4life’s post on here. A mega ton of work but completely worth it!

Waiting on parts so might as well clean up the frame some. Gotta love Texas trucks! No rot!
Wire wheeled the surf ash garbage off.
4 coats or heavy duty enamel. Like new!

Also, the manifold will likely flex without the stiffening ribs. It may not be a problem if the engine is mild, but I've seen some videos of some pretty wild flex.
