If you can keep the temps down (under 150 after a pull), you will continue to make power. There will be diminishing returns as you spin it more and get less power to do drive losses, but heat and subsequent timing reduction is what makes the power fall off substantially.

I think a big part is how efficiently you are getting air in and getting air out. I think if you have pre-blower restrictions like small intake tube and small throttle body the blower is already working harder to get the air in.

Fabbing the 5" intake and sending blower to Jokerz for 102mm inlets and full tilt p/p should eliminate any preblower restrictions. I do have the stock HX and reservoir from kit, which would likely be my limiting factor. I've been eyeballing either adding a frozen boost mounted lower in series, or replacing with a ZL1 exchanger.

I'm going to mill for the 2.55, but can slap a 2.7 on there if I get diminishing returns. Not winding to 7k should help.

Got FPR relocated and new return setup ironed out. Took for drive, about to rip blower off now.

I am very curious to see your results. I have a 2.6 pulley I want to try "just to see". I am like you, I am hopeful there will be gains and I am not gonna spin it past 6200 rpm"s. I have a trick reservoir in the battery location which is the size of the battery. You should consider meth now if you are gonna even try the 2.55 pulley.

As I started putting my 8 rib IW pulleys on, I do have sight evidence there may be some minimal belt slip. Logs don't show any, but some black powder here and there. Going to finish the 8 rib and run it before I pull blower to see if there is a change.

Also, got PS pulley 90% on and the threads on shaft stripped... Haven't figured out my next move yet

1/8" from complete. Slightly pissed

Ordered a Leftcoast HD tensioner while I wait and try to figure this PS pulley out. Forgot about the extra idler pulley on Roush kit too, so going to swap the IW tensioner pulley for another idler from them to complete the 8rib.

Really don't want to replace the entire PS pump, but think I might have to.

That sucks

i have a friend who puts on pinion bearings by putting them in a toaster oven for like 30 minutes they drop in place (i seen it was shocked) i think 30 mins @ 200 or 250 degrees worth a shot, if you try it just make sure both surfaces are extra clean and you get it on fast

Bgbldodge 01-27-2020 11:49 AM

I do that with a lot of press on parts. Put one part in the oven and the other in the freezer. Makes life very easy.

Can't put PS pump in freezer tho...

Also need to grab a different puller, because I can't use the stock puller to get the IW hub off, it will not work.

I might try heat if I get it off though
