Well the FICM, fuel injection control module, went out on my dads 2004 6.0 diesel yesterday. Anyone else ever had this problem or know of a good place where I can get one for a reasonable price?
From the research I have done the ford dealerships charge over 1k for the damn things with install. I have found some for around $400, but there is no guarantee of it working and I still have to get the ford house to program it for me, maybe.

Check out Lots of good info there. There are a few writeups there that walk you through repairing the old one if you have a certain one. You can't repair all of them. Went through this last year with an 06 Excursion. We couldn't repair ours. At least it was still under waranty.
