wanting to spray with turbo
#1
I am wanting to spray my 5.3 that has a 70mm front mount on it with 10psi, small cam, valve train is upgraded. Looking to spray at least a 75 shot if not a 100. Looking to find out if this is a bad idea or a good one. Also is a nozzle or a plate wet or dry the way to go.
Thank folks

I just did some trading for a single nozzle wet kit and gonna try spraying mine out of the hole just to get consistent launches and lower 60's. I want to do a little bracket racing next years, so I think a 75 shot on a 3000-4500 window switch will light the turbo and get the job done.

I was thinking of doing to the same thing as Kyle when I go back to turbo. I'm thinking a single nozzle wet kit 100shot out of the hole on a controller and ramp it down to 0 by the 300' mark.

You shouldn't have a problem. Main thing to is to make sure your rotating assembly can handle the juice and boost, or just make sure you cut the juice off before making much boost!
Why not put a nice converter in the truck and leave on more boost? Sounds easier then adding nitrous.
If you don't go that route and do a nitrous kit you would probably want to go with a wet nozzle or plate. Smaller shots are just fine on a nozzle but plates are just a nice upgrade. I say we because you already have enough tuning with the turbo so no sense it messing with it event more when you can just run a we system and use jets to control your fuel.

lots you can do to get your 60' down where ya want it...different verter, nitrous, two-step, different gears...pick your poison
i think i'll personally try the nitrous with some 3.73s when i do mine again
