200 sounds fun. Stock bottom end right? I take it since you're running a stand alone fuel cell that you're not pulling timing just using something like 110 octane from the fuel cell when the nitrous sprays?

Sorry guys i forgot all about this thread. The cams sweet spot is 4k+ it pulls all the way to redline hard. I don't know what the rev limiter is set at until I have hpt myself to play with everything. It's an awesome cam and really performs well in the pig. Absolutely no complaints with the cam and stall combo. Feels like they were made for each other. I have c16 in the tank. I am pulling 7* at the moment until I get my own software and can start reading plugs and dialing it in better. Honestly I still
Have zero track time as iv been so busy since building it. It made a little under 400 na and no nitrous numbers because I had erratic fuel pressure. I got a new gauge on order and still need to check a few more things as soon as I have some time.

Nice setup man. What kind of fuel are you going to be running in the standalone. Also, good to see you living up to your username

haha yea about that..... thats when i joined back in 08 i think. i really need to change it but i been a lazy bum. C16 in the tank I really would like to install a better fuel pump in the trucks tank as well as a hot wire kit. just to be really safe.

Nice setup man. With a stand alone fuel system it's better to purge the nitrous thru the motor.. Gets air out of the fuel lines as well.. Plus it sounds cooler than **** lol

how do you have it purging threw the motor? Also, what is the benefit other than sounding bad ***? yea i feel like once i have a gauge that works correctly i can get to diagnosing better. how do you like the vic jr with your setup? i have a lead on for with rails and elbow for $400ish lol but idk if its worth the hassle to switch from the TBSS or not ?

it's not really a "purge solenoid" he has 2 solenoids to a plate with an extra button in his truck that acts just like a WOT switch. hold the rpm around 3300 or so and tap that button. it injects fuel and nitrous into the motor right there and BAMthat RPM jump that you hear in the video is not from his foot. the benifit is having nitrous and fuel AT the plate instead of at the solenoid. and nitrous distribution on a vic jr will be better than any OEM efi style intake for GM.

even if i dont switch to a 4150 plate? if I still run the 90mm it will still have better distribution? and yea i totally agree with the fuel to the plate. makes total sense. only confusing part to me, is that even with a purge on both sides, your still gonna have that slight delay from bleed off from the jets. I agree it would be better, But if i was gonna go threw all that trouble of dual purges and all that jaz going into the engine, I would want the solenoid as close as possible to the plate. In my case, theyre not close at all. If I did switch to a vic jr I would want to mount them as close as possible and go threw with the dual purges etc.. (maby im over analyzing it? my engineer background is in overdrive at the moment)

it's not totally necessary. Tyler and phantom tun his nitrous closer to the edge...or as efficient as possible i should say. i assume he purges through the motor to get nitrous and fuel to the plate just before a run, and also has a external purge in case he has a lot of bottle pressure that needs to be bled off before a run. total assumption on my end. Tyler could fill you in.

I only have 1 set of solenoids and that's my main set. Ill have my nitrous armed ad my purge button bypasses the wot switch. So when I purge its actually spraying nitrous and fuel into the motor. Purging fuel keeps the air out of the lines just like it does on the nitrous side. Any time the fuel pump is left off, air gets in the lines. You can tell that by checking the flowing fuel pressure, there will be air bubbles.
In this vid here from a couple years ago you can hear the motor clean up as I'm purging it thru the motor.
