Safe spray?

I have a 4.8 5spd with 112,000 mi. Im gettin the 224 112 tr cam. Im thinkin of a little nitrous too. I want the setup where it only sprays at full throttle by placing a switch behind the throttle body. How should i do my setup? Whats the safest way? I was thinkin no more than a 100 shot through the intake tube on that motor, but i don't know? What do yall think?

me personally i would go with a wet shot. you will use a micro switch that the throttle blade will make contact with and allow the circuit to close for the noids to activate. with a manual you will need a window switch so you don't spray nitrous while your are shifting. there are several choices in that field. harlan, msd, i think nx has a switch along with others.
do you have tuning? if so, i would back the timing down 2 to 4 degrees and change over to ngk tr6 plugs.

I personally think a small dry shot is the safest when it comes to 'user' error.
Dry shots...
1. are less expensive
2. require 1 solenoid
3. let the MAF do the 'thinking' by...
3a. correcting the a/f ratio
3b. decrease timing advance
4. can run the bottle to empty without dumping tons of fuel because...
4a. the MAF is monitoring
5. do not require a purge system
The last detail that I can think of, off the top of my head is this.
A small dry shot will not have any problems with backfires thru the intake manifold when spraying at low RPM. You could blow the motor but, we are discussing small shots so you should be safe.

I've got an NX wet kit on mine w/no window switch or fuel safety switch and a W4Me tune and it's a bitch with just the 75 shot. But virgil, i don't know if you've still got an open rear or not b/c if you do, everything your doing to your truck is gonna be a waste b/c u won't be able to put any of it to the ground and keep from spinning. I've been there, the nitrous was useless til around 70mph and all i had was the tune, intake, and exhaust, check into an eaton before u do anything else.

125 is perfectly fine on a stock motor with the stock intake. The Wood Hauler has sprayed at least 12-15 bottles through his stock 4.8l and has had NO PROBLEMS.
How is relying on the mass air flow safer than manually adding the fuel with a wet kit? Wet kits are safer and have more ability to make higher power levels. Just go 2 steps colder with your plugs and you will be fine.
You will see Thursday night when The Wood Hauler runs that Lightning, that a 125 is completley safe!

I was just wondering what a "safe" dry shot would be. If I go wet I plan to spray 100-125.
