Default questions

Finally took the plunge and bought a nitrous kit. Its a 100 shot. My questions are:
1.How long can I hope for my trans to live under a 100 shot. Its stock with line pressure bumped up with 123,000 miles on it.
2.How much time do you think I can drop with it, currently running mid 14s.
3.Should I move up to a 28" tire for the track. I am thinking it will just put the 26" tires I have up in smoke.
I only plan on spraying at the track maybe four times a year, with 5-10 runs each, and then on the street every now and then.

With all the added power and especially torque that nitrous makes, I don't think your stock tranny will last long at all . And I would try the 26" slicks you already have, and see how they hook. If you have a hard time hooking on the spray, then you might want to bump it up to a 28". But if you want to hook, you need to ditch that open diff and 3.42's

a 100 shot knocked off a lil over a second for me. and a 125 shot i went from a 16.1 stock to a 13.9 spraying off line to finish line... and as for trans depends on alot of how you drive it also(without spray) knock on wood mines still doing good

Thanks guys. I have some lower gears and a locker to go in, just have to get to that. I was going to do a cam, but ended up selling it about a year ago. I will eventually put a cam in it. I have beat on my truck since the day I bought it, I cant believe the trans has lasted this long.LOL. It runs so good since my last retune about 8 months ago that I really hate to mess with it, but I want a little more out of it. I may just run a 50 shot for now and see how that feels. I know it needs a convertor to, it would really help this 4.8.
