I think you'd be pleased either way you go as both are good controllers...

Both controllers share quite a bit of features such as 2 stages, option of using the progressive ramps or full 100% all the time, tps and rpm switches, linear and non-linear graphs, and time/rpm based pulsing. Some pluses for the Plus version are the file system, usability, progressive curves per gear, bottle contents indicator, a/f shut down, time delays, and a multitude of settings. One thing we wanted for sure was something usable in numerous situations...You can store up to 3 separate settings in the microedge and flip through them on the fly. I cannot tell you how convenient that is for changing track conditions and lets be realistic, also for the guys that use nitrous on the street. We also realized that flipping through file settings while on the fly can be cumbersome, so in each file setting you can alter the backlight on the MicroEDGE so you can easily flip between settings. With a simple glance you'll know what file you're in. Obviously you don't need a laptop with ours...I understand that today most people have one, but what if you're out and about without it and need to make a change? Uh oh, no soap. We also thought it would be a great idea to integrate a progressive ramp (linear and non-linear graph) for each and every gear! You can literally go in each gear and custom tailor a progressive ramp to suit your needs...great for people that have traction issues beyond a certain number of seconds or rpm's.

The bottle contents indicator is also a big plus so you dont' have to keep weighing the bottle to know what's in it. Microedge also has the a/f shutdown and what's really nice is you can also use it to shut down the system if you're too rich (only with wideband use) as well as lean (both wideband and narrowband use). This system will catch many scenarios that a fpss simply will not. MicroEDGE can also help out on time delays, whether it be a deficiency with the system or you need a delay there are plenty on hand. We also give a very wide range of frequency to control the solenoids and allows you to run a multitude of brand solenoids. Like I said above though, I'm sure you'll be happy which ever way you go...if money is tight right now, you can always buy just the MicroEDGE controller and upgrade to the Plus version when you're ready. If you have any questions, please feel free to give us a call. Thanks!

Nick
