Default nitrous newb window switch questions

I'm getting my nitrous set up together for my 06 4wd crew cab 1500 silverado. I have never done anything with nitrous before and ive been doing a bit of research. i havent been able to search as much as i'd like lately because of work so i'm hopin someone here can help me out quick. I am running the zex wet control box so i've got a wot switch... I am trying to figure out what to go with for a window switch. I do not want to spray through shifts since it a stock 4l60e. Do any window switches prevent spraying through them? Cause what i've seen so far I'd set the higher rpm cut off just before my shift points.. but it seems like most of the ones i look at will just start spraying again as soon as the rpms drop again so there would only be a short pause between sprays and will most likely pick up again before i'm in the next gear. will i just have to let off the throttle during shifts and let the wot switch help me till the tranny grabs again?

FWIW i'm not a fan of any "box" style nitrous setups, I like getting the two biggest noids you can and let them do work with filters to keep junk out of the solenoid. Also I don't like the idea of not spraying through shifts...let it eat, if your computer is stock then you have tq managment and that pulls timing between shifts cutting power for you. If your trans is low miles then you can drop the pan and add a boost valve for pressure increase and a new AC delco filter for good measures..also a few other things can be added to the trans from just the pan...

look into this window/timing puller Full Throttle Speed LS1 Timing Tuner & Nitrous Controller from Thunder Racing

Thanks for the reply. I haven't gotten the box yet so I may go another route all I have is the bottle a purge set up and some lines... I will be bumping kine pressures and I have a Diablo sport trinity so it will shift harder/ faster and I left the torque management on... so you think I should just get two noids a wot switch and a window switch instead of a plug and play from zex or nitrous express or anything like that? I was going with the box just for quick and easy first time set up.

Zex is junk. Look at our sponcers for much better systems!

As for spraying through shifts is a bad idea on a stock truck that you drive every day. It is a very easy way to destroy an already weak link(the 60).

A window switch will generaly give you plenty of time for the truck to shift as that is the main point of a window switch. Keep you from spraying too low of an RPM and stop the nitrous for a few moments wile you shift.

Good to know luckily all I have that is zex is a bottle. There's a guy selling two Nos noids that lives right down the road asking 150 I might check them out... unless you experts have any objections.

Used noids can be a great deal, but they can also cost you an engine. If they leak they make the engine go boom.

Plus those noids are small and old looking.

Well at least if I blow the motor and smoke the tranny I'll have a good excuse to drop in a 6L and 4l80e...
