two stage nitrous
I have been thinking of upgrading my nitrous kit to support a 250 shot but I only have a -4An feed. When is the -6AN feed line necessary and what are the benefits of it?
I am currently running a cold fusion wet kit with window switch and NOS plate with 150 shot. I need to know the most effective way to get there without spending alot of money.
I can buy a kit from a local guy that will give me the 6An line, purge kit, and bottle heater but I need to know what else to buy. Proggresive controller and bigger jets or what other options?

As far as the NX systems go I believe the 4AN will support up to 300hp. I have had a NX EFI Race single Nozzle EFI system and a Gemini Twin plate system that were both rated up to 300 hp and came with a 4an feed line.

People are doing some amazing things with progressive controllers and there is no doubt that they work and work well but I personally like multiple stage set ups. Just a personal preference I guess.

A progressive will not "fry" a solenoid....all the controller does is pulse the solenoids open/closed. When used properly with a well designed solenoid the controller poses no threat to the life of the solenoid.
The problem we see is some people are wanting to use a progressive as a HP controlling device. I.E. jetting for a 300 shot then setting the controller to hold 50%, they do this thinking it is a 150 shot. But this is a 300 shot 50% of the time. A progressive is designed to be used as a traction control device. On my car I rarely have a ramp time longer than 1.5-2.0 seconds. I am currently running 5 year old NX solenoids, they still look like new.
