Truck is a 2006 4.8 5-speed.
I've searched threads and can't really find anything complete. I'm wanting to do a cam swap (looking at a 224r or 228r) and a 100 shot. Are either of these cam's going to be worth anything with spray? Or is there one that would work better? I just bought 2005 silverado's Hurst shifter with the ****/ spray button combo, so what would be the best way to run with it? Have it hooked to the button or have a WOT switch?

I'd look at maybe the 220, it's anopther proven cam and pretty good for the 4.8L. As far as the nitrous part, the cam really doesn't matter until you get into a bigger shot (200ish). I've been told this by a number of people, because I asked the same thing haha.

cam is power all the time and nitrous is only when spraying, but the nitrous will be a bigger gain, your choice.
come on now, you got to tell us what you had custom spec'd out for a cam
TR220 is a great cam for a 4.8

Those cams are fine its in the tune and the supporting mods and a bigger cam would work as well but may not be all its cracked up to be esecially in a 4.8 but then again it has to do with what else is done.
Get your truck dialed in N/a with whatever cam you choose then you will/should only have to make slight adjustments uasually to the air/fuel mixture and timing for the spray.
