Default Narrowband guage

Would hooking up this guage on my 1999 5.3 on the back O2 sensor[behind cat] give a different reading then hooking it to the O2 sensor before the cat?

The rear 02 sensors are just to tell if the cats are working or not. I don't think the gauge will work with them.
