It all started with the bottles, I was given the two brushed aluminum CO2 bottles for free (the last time anything on this project cost that much). A few calls and I found out they could be converted to nitrous use, some high flow valves and custom siphon tubes and I was ready for a hydrostatic test and fill. Then came some head scratching on how to mount them. I sketched some ideas and visited a friend who's an artist and fabricator, he drew a design and we went ahead. The amount of aluminum is pretty crazy and you really need to see it to appreciate the detail and machine work involved. Not trying to brag but rather so impressed with his work. The final assembly was long, his Tig welder kept tripping as the piece grew in size and took more and more heat. He had to swing to a Mig welder to finish and when he upgraded to a larger Tig machine and then went over the welds to give that beautiful roll of dimes look.
To get to your question on cost, $1100.00. Expensive yes, but for a custom built one of I think it was worth it. Don't ask my wife that question though .
