nitrous is fun- just don't get greedy. buddy of mine did just what Richard said, 75 shot, then 100 shot, then 150 then 175 to try to take me and BOOM - lucky for him the Intake Manifold and TB is th eonly thing that gave up the ghost... could have been a lot worse. Just be sensible with it and you should be fine.

 

Sounds like its pretty dangerous if u dont know what your doing.Can I put the bottle behind the seat of my truck and where does it go into the engine.

 

yes it can be dangerous if you dont know what your doin...my old 5.3 seen alot of abuse and seen 6800 rpm every day..im surprised it lasted as long as it did..but my a/f onthe nitrous was 11.5-11.9 28 degrees timing and i mixed 111 gas in with it

 

I don't run NOS but Yes, you will eventually need a tranny. That 150 shot tore thru his original tranny and the 2 more in a matter of weeks. And almost launched the intake thru the hood once.

 

That sucks man, thanks for the heads up. I guess after I get to the track I'll back it down to a 100 shot.

i know that Bra, I realized the mistake i made after i submitted and i failed to fix it. I just KNEW you was gonna jump on that opportunity. I know how you hate people sayen NOS.



But what if NOS blows sh*t up while Zex works fine.. LOL

I do believe dirt track was well over 100k miles also. But 90 bottles on the old 5.3 ain't bad, just keep it at 100 and you'll be alright.
