Default hosing the 2500 questions

I'm a noob to the LS family, but not a noob to nitrous. I'm having some fun with my tow rig, 2500 2x4 6.0. It's stock as a rock, and I am piecing together a nitrous kit for it with leftovers from my drag car.
I'm planning on a single wet NOS fogger nozzle, 150 hp shot, 100 octane unleaded race fuel.

Will the stock ECM tune be alright for nitrous, assuming I jet the kit properly?

Do 4L80's hold up well stock, should I race it using the tow/haul mode?

TR6's @ .035 the way to go?

I've seen as big as a 100 shot on a stock tune... but its not really adviseable... get a tune, then run the 150 all day...on pump gas, no need for race fuel on that small of a shot in these things

the trans will be fine... as long as you dont have a 4LjunkE in there you're good. no need for tow-haul either, just run it as is

and the TR-6's with the out-of-the-box gap is good to go... no need to mess with it IMO...

We put a 100 wet shot on my buddies bone stock 1500hd and it dropped from the 17s to a high 15(this on a window switch set at 3000rpms). It suprised a TON of stock 1/5 ton 4x4s on the street. I think it would be fine with the 150 shot, but I do like to push the limits from time to time.

We're about to see how that same truck will do with a fuddle 2800 and the 150 blast. Should be interesting......

The reason for running the 100 octane is simply insurance against detonation/knock retard. I figure another $10 in fuel for a day at the track is no big deal, I have found in the past that it has given me an additional margin of error on applications where I was not able to change the timing curve. I will probably start with a 100 shot, check for detonation on the plugs, then bump it up in 25 hp increments.

My main concern was how the stock programing strategy would effect timing advance/retard on the nitrous. I just don't want the ECM throwing tons of timing at it going down the track.

Does anyone have any proven jet reccomendations for a single wet NOS nozzle?

What is stock fuel pressure on these trucks?

BTW I ran a 200 shot on a bone stock 5.0 for two years with no problems, that motor still runs fine. It's all in the tuneup

One thing the pcm usually doesn't do is throw a bunch of timing at it.....that's for sure. Mine is doing fine on 25* with the 200 shot and 93 octane. I ran 28* with the 100 shot and 150 shot for a LONG time.

Stock fuel pressure should be around 58+ at WOT

I'm using an nx kit, so the jetting won't help ya out any there. The sticky at the top of this section has the jetting you'll need.

What year model truck is it?

It's a 1999 6 litre. There are no single NOS fogger jetting recomendations in the sticky, only for their plate kit. I have used NX and NOS jetting combos interchangably, the only difference is NX is much more realistic on their target AF ratios, NOS just runs everything pig rich. I think I will start with a 55 N and a 28 F. I am using the large NX solenoids, so the orfice restriction is going to be different anyways. I will hopefully just be able to play with jetting and see what ET's the best.

What is the best way to tap into the fuel system?

I will post 1/8 mile times on Thursday in case anyone cares.
