Default First nitrous run

I just made my first nitrous run with the Harris speed works wet kit, I set my MSD window switch, on @ 2500 off @ 5300. I just wanted to do a quick pull in 2nd to see if everything was working properly. The 100 shot kicked in hard at 2500 till about 3700 rpms. Then it seemed to kick in and out. wasn't detonation though, it felt like a bad miss. The AFR stayed at a constant 12.93 this to lean or bout right? i just cant figure out what the miss was. i am running tr6's. you think it would be air in the line? shoot me soem opinion on what you guys think.

was the bottle freshly filled? what was your bottle press? do you have a heater? any codes? how much timing did you remove?

do you have a scan file? it could have had pinging you just didnt hear it and it could have pulled a but load of timing.

Bottle was freshly filled. I dont have a heater yet its jus running about 850lbs. No codes showed. I am no for sure on the timing, when bluecat tuned it he said a 100 shot would be perfect at the timing he sat a WOT.

in your sig, HP tune by BLUECAT...he can "scan" the run to see what's going on.

12.9 is lean IMO on a 100shot of nitrous. 75 shot and up you need to start thinking like forced induction. Timing and commanded AFR are important. Add like 4% to your WOT fuel for a start.Maybe even 5% to 6%.

I would try to get your bottle pressure higher too.

i gap .035". and try to keep AFR around 12.1, just like FI..... around 25* of timing at WOT also...

i run a 100 shot dry though. should be a similar tune for you.

Check all your equipment, and hit up the dyno or scan a run. You can get a bottle heater kit from HSW for $125~. You didn't use Teflon tape did you? Do you have a N20 filter?

I used loc-tite thread sealant, the same thing that comes with the HSW nitrous kit. I bought some extra for my fuel pressure saftey switch. I am gonna try to hit the dyno here pretty soon. i gotta couple things i wanna do first before i dyno. the only n20 filter that i have is the one in the solnoid. Me and a bunch of buddies went to the track today and i heated my bottle a little bit and got the pressure upto bout 950. It done 10 times better then last night. Still trying to figure out what rpms to activate and de-activate my window switch. I can only stall upto about 1700 with stock verter. timing at wot was right on 25*. ill get it to the tuner and let him work on my power enrichment and stuff. Had to run in 4wheel drive, it was not gonna hook on those 20's with street tires. but 4wheel seemed to take alot of top end away though.
