"the famous DynoTune high flow bottle valve"
#1
Yep that's that they claim here:
DynoTune Product, 904.1-5lb / 10lb Bottle Valve with siphon tube - DynoTune, Nitrous systems, Purge kits, Nitrous Bottle heaters and more!
It's the valve that came with my bottle:
Nitrous oxide bottle with high flow valve at discount prices. Polished or powdercoated nitrous oxide bottles in all sizes. - Nitrous oxide bottle with high flow valve, available in silver, black and poished
Has anyone confirmed if it's truly a "high flow" valve or is this just some advertising hype?
The reason I'm asking is because I purchased the NANO universal 3000 kit and not the sport kit that includes the recommended high pressure valve. Tom at NANO told me if I had a "high pressure" valve that I didn't need to spend the extra money on the sport kit, but if I didn't my NANO system wouldn't work correctly due to the restricted flow.
Has anyone ever ran a DynoTune bottle or "high pressure" valve with a NANO system?

Called and spoke with Tom@NANO and he said he didn't think the DynoTune valve would work. Called and spoke with the owner of DynoTune and he said it would work just fine..said he even sells his bottles to NANO(didn't say anything about valves though). So here I am..still stuck trying to figure out if I need to dish out the extra money for a high flow valve or stick with what I have.

It might be a legit high flow valve. You'd have to be running more nitrous than anything other than a built big block can handle, though. The common feed line is -4, which is 0.250"... For the sake of argument we'll just say the stock valve necks down to 0.125", half the diameter and 1/4 of the area. That still gives you about 700hp worth of nitrous.
So it could be a high flow valve. But chances are you'll never ever need it. lol

I think what seems to be the bottleneck in this NANO system is the port that the compressed air feeds into..not the actual exiting flow of nitrous(please someone correct me if I'm wrong).

Well the standard $75 Hi-Flo valve from NOS will not work due to it not having the port which a pressure gauge screws into(which is the same port the compress air/NANO line feeds into).
Here is the DynoTune gauge port. Does anyone know if this is large enough to allow the compressed air to keep up with the exiting nitrous?
