Default dry shot question

will a dry 100 shot be efficient and still have mercy on my engine? and what is the largest dry shot a 5.3 can handle?

yeah i got em mixed up. i forgot the dry shot requires tuning for the injectors to compensate fuel. how big of a shot would a 5.3 handle with 90k and still be on the safe side. i know that some will handle more and that theres no set amount that any engine will handle. just lookin for opinions. it runs a best 15.1 at 91mph in the 1/4. im tryin to get it in the high 13's with 100 shot and a tune

I'm running a dry shot jetted for 80 on a Mustang, not sure the actuall hp gain and can't remember the jet sizes either, it's a "universal efi kit" single nozzle on a stock tune, Yes I know I'm crazy and I know better now but I had the kit sitting in the garage and I slapped it on 5 years ago and have been running it successfully that way for 5 years. Had around 28k when I put it on and have 87k now. I have run a best of 13.7 with minor mods on a stock fuel system. Consistent 14.0-13.8. IMO It's the rich stock tune that has kept me from having problems, I in no way reccomend my setup as I am currently in the process of changing it to a safer one. For safety and performance I would go with a wet kit and a proper tune for it. Reason being you can get more gain from the stock fuel system as with a dry kit you need to upgrade to run a large shot. The stock tune with torque management has probably kept my trans alive as well, my setup with a tune = bye bye 4l60. I will be changing my setup in the next couple months as well as going with a proper tune and a built trans etc...when money allows.
