like the title says, i have a full bottle thast was filled by a buddie about 8 months ago & never used. is it still good, or does it go bad? i need to know, because im gonna try to get the kit on my truck for tomorrow night, and thats the only bottle i have available...also would i be safe with a 100shot with 27* timing with a 50/50 mix of 93 octane and some 110 octane unleaded fuel? i dont have access to have my tune change for nitrous by tomorrow.

 

it shouldn't go bad. sealed system(bottle). i've never heard of or read where it goes bad either.

 

i dont think it goes bad either. i think you should be good with that timing and mix. plus, the cool front is rollin in in the morning so thatll help too

 

You should be fine on the tune I ran 32* with a 100 shot all the time on 93. I havent heard of nitrous going bad either. Only one way to find out

 

hopefully i have enough time to get the kit in tomorrow, i guess i will find out.... lets hope for the best.

 

and with that advice you just gave, why dont you tell us where your motor is now?


I dont think that motor will ike 27* of timing and a 100 shot.

 

im not bashing anyone or taking sides here but the 5.3 that 1slow took out he has posted many times that he took it out for other reasons and that the pistons looked like they should with no burnt places

 

5.3 was perfect when I took it out, turbogibbs can attest to that, the 418 hasnt seen any nitrous

Allen Nelson logged it on a 102* day with my cammed 5.3 and 100 shot through 3rd gear and there was no knock and A/F was spot on. Ran about 30 bottles without the cam through it and about 7-8 with teh cam.

Lifter/oiling issue took out the 5.3 along with needing an excuse to build the motor I really wanted

 

Nitrous does not go bad. Unless you mix huffing it with hookers and blow. Then it goes bad. Yeah.

Seriously, it will be fine.

 

Crack the valve and inhale deeply......hear birds chirping, it's good!
