I was just wondering if more are doing it and any problems they may have encountered. After speaking to Scott, a 35 to 50 shot sounds like all I would be safe shooting and probably all I would need.I just like to be thorough in my research. I can afford the 500-600 for the N20 kit but not $$$ for another engine.
I'm sure there is going to be some fuel seperation...there is always some in any manifold (wet system non-direct port), however as long as your on the rich side say, 12 to 1 AFR or richer, a small shot on N2O into a cyl without extra fuel (say lack of fuel for some reason, blower with bad fuel distribution as an example) will probably live, if you don't go to lean. It's this unknown as to how much seperation there really is that keeps people to small (safer) shots, just in case the fuel some how doesn't get there. Plus, to much cyl pressure could spell bad things to head gaskets. I would not worry to much on boost vs N2O. I believe Parish's old 6 Liter combo was 14 to 16 LBs of boost (turbo)with a 75 shot, so the block and pistons can handle some power.

i have 30# inj now but i would probly jump to 40 if i sprayed, before i spray it i would take the truck to allen and have him tune it up.
but a dry 50 through the non intercooled sidemount, **** w the cooling effect and the added n2o effect HEHE no explanation needed.

how much rwhp gain would i see from a 50 shot?

Don't forget, most of these ideas for meth, or nitrous on the blowers are only for track use, where you can monitor everything closly. You start playing with this stuff on the street, and sooner, or later, you're gonna run out of meth or whatever at the worst time! I think....the best thing to have (and I'm gonna have one) is a race tune, and a street tune. That way, you can kind have the best of both worlds.

This is exactly why a wet shot is perfect... If you run out of N2O you end up going really rich because the fuel keeps pumping. The opposite situation- running out fuel on the wetshot for some reason (maybe a relay goes bad or the fuel solenoid) you end up safe because it's only a 50 shot and if you're running in the 11's for AFR you have enough excess fuel to get you by.

I'm gonna do it. 25 then a 35 then a 50 if it feels right. Wet shot. I'll post up when I get some numbers. Oh yea, do I need colder plugs? What brand?

I called 2 auto places (National Chains) and they didn't know anything about colder plugs etc... I think they were both 16 years old and new to the job. Kept trying to sell me stock plugs the computer told them. Anybody know the part # for the tr-6 or whatever plug is a step colder?

NGK-4177 (TR6) don't pay more than $2.50 each. T Byrne Motorsports sells them for 2.29/e.

P/N 50-TR6 from Thunder Racing here. Magnuson says stock plugs, but my truck ran better after getting the TR6's installed.
