Hahahahahah dont believe it eh? go to TexasBorderlinePhotography.com im basically the onlyyellow truck in the 2011 evadale album. And its just a lil 302 for now until we drop the 351 stroker in it. No bottle. No transbrak. Its got a ratchet shifter in it so needless to say when i tried driving a stang at the strip the other weekend I almost lost the guys rear end accidentally shifting from 3rd to reverse. Completely different shifting pattern there. Im still learning tho. And as for specs and what not I dont do the motor work I just floor it and hope it stays straight. Soomething I dont understand is why guys ((older men especially)) get all nervous and red light whenit comes to racing a chick??? Im not much different from any other racer.

I believe that I'm not as serious a racer. I use my truck as a DD and I do it for the fun, and the learning experience. Plus, I'm probably a good amount older than you (45), and I do the maintenance on the vehicles here at the house, with a '72 Cutlass on the way. I think it's great that you have the oppty to have the support to just hit the gas and go. But I do believe it's important to learn what you have under the hood and chassis.
Here's my suggestion. Change the scenery a little. Take the truck to a classics scene, cleaned and detailed. Both my husband and I did that for a good while, but we've slowed down since the HHR SS was at the Dr's for improvements, and we were working on getting the house done.

I've seen you and the truck out at Evadale and it's no slouch at all
we run a newer truck out there pretty often too and you probably have seen a few performancetrucks members at the track and didn't realize it.
Keep up the good work!!

I know I should get out n the garaqge and stick my head under the hood n learn but we rarely ever WORK on it for me to learn anything ya know?
And yea it is a slouch!!! Only 12.4 around 107 in the quarter!? MAJOR slouch compared to Gillys mustang he had out there on the 10th! He let me drive his car..... when its sprayed its a 9 sec car.... I turned that into a 16 second car because of my shifting mistakes. dont laugh. it was horrible! I thought it was going to blow up lol
