Default whats up everyone!!!

Hows it goin guys. I'm new to this truck portion of ls1tech so bare with me! My boss at work has a 1997 GMC Saburbon with a 5.7. He wants to put a 6.0 ls2 in it and is wondering what will work. Is it true that you could literally take a motor and trans out of a newer 6.0 truck and it will fit in the saburbon chasis? I know the wiring harness will be different but thats not the issue right now. Just the questiopn on the fitment of the motor/trans. Thanks everyone and if i need any other info for ya. just let me know because my boss is really eggin me on to get tyhe info! Thanks!

Me and a buddy of mine have. Put a 5.3 in a 97 silverado of his. Had to make the motor mount plates but that was easy. Used the tranny that he already had in the truck. Also needed a spacer for the flex plate. Spliced into his factory harness and ldeft the old computer in there to control the tranny. Street and performance did a whole write up on this.
