I have a 2009 silverado 5.3. What gains could I expect if I added the FAST 102mm intake with a comp cam, and long tube headers? And with that set up would it be able to take a little shot of nitrous? Thanks a lot!

 

Well I'm no expert but I think your intake/throttle body opening is only 87 or 90mm, so you wont be getting the full benefit of the 102mm throttle body. Plus, I don't know about the newer trucks but you might need an x-link to allow that FAST 102 to talk to the computer, assuming you have a drive by wire throttle body (again idk about these new trucks). Additionally, don't forget about getting a good in person 93 octane tune. Given the listed mods, I think you could get at least 50hp...hope this helps. DO a bunch of searches on this forum and look through the build threads, there is a ton of good information here with lots of different options that will provide power, driveability, and whatever goals you have in mind. Thank you for your advice! I am no expert either, just a 17 year old that wants some more power but done the right way! The FAST 102mm intake also has a 102mm Big Mouth Throttle body but it's a cable throttle. Thank you

 

If I where u I wouldn't worry about the fast intake and 102 tb. Get cam stall long tubes catback and a spot on tune. And u will be more then happy
