My name is Anthony, I just bought my 02 silverado 4 months ago. I just started modding the truck, its a rcsb with a 4.8 and 3.42 in the rear end. Any help would be awesome and hopefully my goal is the see her running low 12s but I will be happy with low 13s.

What are the miles on that 4.8l, and are you on orig trans?

Start your build from the back end up. if you're going to stay with 17's, 3.73's should be fine. And posi wouldn't hurt.

build it up from the back as lisa was saying then throw a front mount on it and roll with it

Front mount?, also so far the mods are cold air, bola pro xs muffler. I got some quick trip long tubes and asp underdrive pulley. Then luck's speed and performance will tune the truck. The truck barley hit 120121 miles and the 4l60E, with a corvette servo.

 

welcome to the site! Lots of good info on here. Turbo is kinda the go to mod on a 4.8 around here. 4l80, or built 60e will be in your future with 120k on the clock.
