How do you get a Different Title under your name?

Is this determined by how many posts you have?

Yes.

On rare, RARE occasions admin will change it to a custom title if you have been a member for long time and/or you have made some great contribution to the forum, EG; Start a part number thread and be able to maintain it and give the members parts #'s at will. Even then...you don't have much choice in what it's gonna be. LOL
