pioneer doubline din HELP!
#1
ok so i have a 2006 sierra denali, and a few days ago my stock head units lights **** the bed, so now i want to get a pioneer double din 2300, i wanted to know if anyone has this or similar and how hard it is to put in, i really dont care about xm or steering wheel controls, but i also have 2 12s with an rca converter (because theres trucks are already preamped) and a 500w amp, i jsut want to know what i should expect to lose and how hard it is

Nothing to lose, if you don't want to. You'll need a gmos-014, if you want to retain OnStar and the door chimes, etc. That'd be your best bet. You can also do the add-on for the steering wheel controls as well, but that's up to you. Easy to install and a great radio. Newer versions are out from Pioneer, though. Check up on those.

very easy install. It isn't plug and play, but about as close as you can get. You buy the GMOS-01 (GMOS-04 if you have bose) and wire it up to the harness that comes with the new pioneer radio. The wiring will match up color for color, then you just need to wire the parking brake wire to the parking brake or bypass it with a relay. You also need a 99-2003 dash kit, and a 40GM-10 antenna adapter.

I don't think I need a dashkit, its basically a silverado ss dash, which I've seen those radios go right into the dash, and ill have to look into the antenna kit, damn this keeps getting more and more expensive
