Well another late night but HOLY CR*P this thing is so much fun now! I had a real scare as when my friend was tuning it last night he mistakingly swapped a 4L60 table in to the tune. When we test drove it, it was starting in 3rd, the shifter wouldn't command the right gear, never got 1st and when he commanded gears it was completely backwards so od would apply 1st and so on. We parted ways with me worrying about what I had messed up in the valve body. He called a few min later and had realized his mistake. One quick flash and VICTORY!
I know I should be making a thread elsewhere about the build but I don't seem to be very good at keeping up with stuff. I like forums mainly for the classifieds haha.
I used an 80e out of a 05 Express. I got the gm crank spacer, bolts and flex plate and used the stock stall. I got the guys at the parts store to find me the right conversion u-joint to mate the yokes (I can look at the part number if anyone wants it). The driveshaft was the perfect length. Got a connector for the ISS and ran the wires to the PCM. Swapped the couple of wires in the cannon plug. Had to extend the rear cooler line and fab the crossmember. That's about it.
