Just got to say what a great site. I just rebuilt my engine in my head 100 times. I am on overload, Just kidding.
Just signed up. Have been checking the site for about a year. Not to familiar with computers, websites and posting. I sure someone will let me know if I mess up.
My truck turns the 1/4 in 16.98 and my friend's Titan stomps me every time, so maybe I can get some good input and return the favor.
Understanding what I have been reading I have a LQ4, that needs LT headers, Small cam, and maybe L92 heads, but I will do more reseach.
Right now I have a small oil leak were my oil cooler lines bolt to the block, and while I was under the truck checking that out, I heard rattle that sounds like someone shaking a paint can. I know these engines have piston slap, maybe a loose timing chain? I have 40 PSI on the oil gauge.
OH! My instrument cluster does not work, was replaced at 35K. and it went out again. It turns on in the morning and when I restart the truck nothing. No warranty.
I hope I did not get too long on the intro, I just start rambling.
