Hi, my name is Derek, and i need some help on building an ultimate or just plain nasty street truck. I have an excellent platform (86 C10 sb) that has a 383 stroker (375 hp), a beefy 350 trans., posi 373's in the rear. This truck performs well, but i'm no satisfied. It gets 6 mpg and only runs premium. I'd like you guys to direct me with all your knowledge and blessings lol.

 

Are you wanting to stay carbureted or go fuel injected and what's ur budget like

 

i would like to go with a ls motor,don't have a set budget

 

Search around, 6mpg with 375hp is quite terrible. A 5.3 swap would yield ~325hp and 16-20mpg on regular 87. Your motor is probably over carbed.
